North Georgia Maternity Photographer- Jessica’s Outdoor and Studio Session
Jessica, her husband Darren, and their two girls Remington and Emersyn moved to Georgia from the mountains of Nevada. They wanted to have a farm, and they found exactly that in nearby Ball Ground. They are pregnant with their third and last baby, another little girl. They were interested in beautiful mountain and water views combined, and also wanted some studio pictures as well.
We started off in the studio for the first part of the session. Jessica loved my new floral installation, so she dressed in a cream off the shoulder dress and we were able to capture some beautiful spring like pictures of Jessica and the family together. Next Jessica changed into a sheer baby doll dress and we took some dramatic pictures of her in front of the florals. We also played around with shadows and lighting for these photos.
Next we turned up the drama and Jessica changed into an elegant black sheer gown and we photographed her in front of a different setup I have that has a lot of draping and black lights. I just love how different setups in the same space can add such a different vibe to the session. Finally Jessica changed into a black suit coat and pants and we were able to grab some beautiful editorial pictures of her that were so strong and empowering feeling.
Then it was time to travel to an outdoor location for the next portion of the session. I immediately knew exactly where I wanted to travel with this sweet family. It has been a little bit since I’ve ventured out to Vogel State Park but I knew that it would offer the exact setting the family was looking for. Using my portable changing station, Jessica started off in one of my favorite blue velvet dresses with bell sleeves. Her girls were wearing jean jackets over their dresses so the blues all blended so well together. We took a wide variety of photos of just Jessica, and of the whole family, including some more fun ones of the girls playing.
To finish things off, Jessica changed into a very Bohemian olive green dress and we were able to take some more photos outdoors of the family together for a more casual lifestyle look. We also captured some pictures of Jessica and Darren together, and some very striking ones of just Jessica. We took some pictures on one of the trails as well as more in front of the lake and mountains.
Jessica and Darren were over the moon for their photos and they purchased 3 large 11x14 canvases. They went ahead and booked their newborn session. Their new sweet baby girl has just been born and I am excited to see this sweet family for their next session!
