John’s Creek Maternity Photographer- Josephine and Justin Raymond’s Outdoor Mountain Session

Josephine and Justin are expecting their first baby, a little boy. They live in Florida, but they love the mountains, and are even naming their son Utah. So, when it came time for them to have maternity pictures, they took to Google and found my website! Josephine immediately reached out to me and told me what they wanted and we got to work right away to create their vision!

Josephine, Justin, and Justin’s mom (who is already called Nana!) made the trip from sunny Florida and stayed in Helen Georgia nearby. Josephine came to the studio for hair and makeup first, then I took the family to Amicalola Falls because not only is it absolutely beautiful, but you will be hard pressed to find another location that offers so many different views to use.

We started out our session with a short walk to the middle of the falls. Josephine wore a beautiful off the shoulder ruffled boho gown. If you have never been to Amicalola, there is a beautiful bridge that gives you a stunning view of the waterfall above and below and is the perfect backdrop for truly beautiful images.

Next, using my portable changing room, Josephine changed into a shiny gold boho gown and we took more pictures of the couple on the bridge overlooking the mountains and in and throughout the woods.

Finally Josephine changed into a beautiful blue crushed velvet gown and we moved to the highest point in the park, where the Lodge is located. At the top of the mountain, you get some magnificent views of the surrounding mountains. We got some beautiful pictures of Justin and Josephine together, and some of just Josephine, including one with her dress flowing in the wind.

Josephine and Justin loved what we captured and purchased a 24x36 framed canvas, Christmas ornaments, and a 10x10 heirloom album. I love that they will be able to share these beautiful images and memories of the mountains with baby Utah.
