North Georgia Newborn Photographer- Emory’s Studio Session
Meredith and her husband Zachary just had their first little baby boy. Meredith has an art background and she loves color. She did a lot of research into photographers in the area and she essentially chose me because I am not afraid to use some color. They really loved the rust and steel blue color combination and I was happy to provide that option for them, while still using some neutrals as well.
Emory came in nice and sleepy so we were able to start by putting him in a soft bear sleeper and bonnet set from my client closet. We used a rustic basket for these pictures. Next we wrapped Emory in a rust colored wrap and we used the front lifestyle space to capitalize on the natural light for some sweet family pictures.
We added a rust bonnet to the wrap and we moved back to the backdrops so we could have a monotone look for the next images. Then we laid Emory on a steel blue blanket with a steel blue bonnet and draped him in a rust blanket for some detail shots of his hands and feet. My favorite of these was when we added sweet little white stars to the blanket backdrop.
We finished up with some more lifestyle family photos with Emory just in a diaper. He handled all the movement like a true professional and he even managed to give us a few little grins in the end.
Meredith and Zachary loved all of their photos and they purchased a large acrylic of the family and a steel blue linen tri-fold with copper debossing on the front. The artistic edge to the photos will truly be lifelong treasures for their family.
