Atlanta Georgia maternity photographer- Surprise proposal maternity session

Corrine & Kurt came to me earlier this year to try on dresses and plan for their North Georgia maternity photoshoot. What Corrine didn’t know was that while she was taking a potty break, Kurt let me in on a little secret that he was planning on proposing at their maternity session. I was absolutely thrilled because it brings me such joy to capture such monumental memories.

First the two of them met at my photography studio located in Dahlonega, Georgia for some fine art maternity studio portraits. These are some of my favorites and I was able to use my brand new light stand which made such a difference on how perfectly lit they were! Corrine switched between some bodysuits, loose fabric, and then a more casual outfit with jeans and a bralette. I love getting this kind of variety in my sessions. To top the night off, we headed out to Montaluce winery for the outdoor portion of the session and for Kurt’s surprise.

The weather looked gorgeous outside and provided us PERFECT sun for this moment, however it was freezing cold so we had to get creative and move quickly.

Kurt adjusted Corrine’s dress train and stayed down on one knee to ask the most important question, to which she said, YES! It was such an emotional, sweet night completing the rest of the photos. Nothing but happiness and joy! We switched between three dresses for the outdoor shoot and used some hats and other client closet items to complete the looks.

I absolutely loved this session and cannot wait to meet their little baby for their newborn photos next month!
