Buford Georgia Milestone Photographer- Colt and Samantha’s One Year Cake Smash

Michelle and Josh had a beautiful journey to parenthood. I had the amazing opportunity to first photograph Michelle at her maternity session where we took pictures at Wimpy Farms. Once Colt and Samantha were born, I also took their newborn pictures. So, when it was time for their cake smash, I was so excited to see these sweet babies again!

Michelle wanted to do a Daniel Tiger theme, which we did in a more neutral way. They ended up using clothes from my client closet anyways. We started the twins in very vintage outfits in the lifestyle area of the studio. The sweet twins played around with some blocks and with each other, crawling around and getting comfortable with their space.

Next, we changed Samantha and Colt into a flowered romper and my favorite little boys suspender stockings. We moved back to a neutral backdrop and let them play with some fun props for a cute boho feel.

After this it was time to change the twins one last time into a lacy dress and maroon overalls. We first took some pictures of the whole family together and then it was time to pull out the cakes! At first they didn’t know what to think, but it didn’t take long for them to dig right in. I love being able to capture these fun moments. By the time we were done, they were playing together and with their custom cakes made by my favorite vendor Jamie Bakes.

Michelle and Josh purchased a four piece canvas set and a 10x10 heirloom album to add to their many memories of these sweet babies. These pieces are an addition to the six piece they purchased of their maternity and newborn sessions.
