Cumming Georgia Milestone Photographer- Elijah Skinner’s Outdoor Senior Session
When I was first starting out doing photography a couple of years ago, Elijah Skinner’s mom Stephanie reached out to me to do his prom pictures up at Brasstown Valley Resort. Elijah is now a senior in high school, and Stephanie really wanted to do a session that captured all the facets of his personality.
Elijah is a big reader, he loves the outdoors, he’s into nature photography, and he also plays basketball for his high school. Since his season hadn’t started yet, we will meet back up in the spring to capture some of these photos. Since he loves being outside so much, we first met up at Lake Zwerner Reservoir, which is always one of my favorite backdrops to take pictures on.
Elijah kept it simple for a teenage boy and wore black jeans with a bleached jean jacket and white tshirt. We started out with some pictures of Elijah on the walking bridge and some pictures in front of the water. I love the reflection of the sun in these images.
We then moved to my favorite mountain spot at the Summit where Elijah changed into a plaid shirt with a vest. Here we were able to dive into his personality and we got some photos of him with his Jeep, with him reading, and with him taking some photos of the scenery around him. He changed once again into a cream hoodie and we took some pictures in front of the signal tree and some of Elijah with his mom which were just the sweetest.
It was starting to get dark by this point, but we traveled once more to the University of North Georgia campus for some pictures around the school and some of Elijah wearing his letter jacket. You know I always love the moody feel of almost dark lighting.
The Skinners purchased a 16x24 floating framed canvas, a 5x7 desktop canvas, and a 10x10 heirloom album. I love the priority this family put on documenting this special time in a teenagers life!
